Cancer Cafe

Every month cancer patients and survivors/thrivers meet up at the Villager Cafe in Camden, Maine for the Cancer Cafe. Guests enjoy a complimentary breakfast and hear expert speakers on topics of interest, including oncology nutrition, mental health support, legislative action, and more.

The Cancer Cafe is run by Kathleen Fleury Capetta, a cancer survivor and creator of “An Unexpected Gift: Stories of Cancer and Community.”

The Cancer Cafe helps support Gifts of Love, a program that provides small gifts to those in our community impacted by cancer to foster a sense of belonging.

Gifts of Love

Just a small handwritten note or a homemade meal can make all the difference on any given day of a cancer journey. That’s why we started the Gifts of Love program, operated by One Community, Many Voices. This program raises money for the small but priceless gifts that let patients and their families know they are not alone.
