Race Series, Triathlon, Scuttle Course, & Other Fundraisers

OCMV hosts a variety of events and excursions including: Midcoast 5K series, Scuttle at the Camden Snow Bowl, Labor Day Triathlon, and a Destination Run.


 Midcoast Maine Race Series consists of 6 holiday 5K races throughout the year.  Each race has its own identity and theme. Participates can either run or walk. All are encouraged to dress up in some manner to reflect the holiday. Preregister online at either Runsignup or Active.com and type in the name of the race. Registration is also available 30 minutes before each race. Cost $18 in advance/ $20 day of race. The First’ Summer Solstice 5K: Saturday, June 17th, celebrate the solstice with a run/walk through downtown Rockland during its Summer Solstice Street Festival. Race begins at 6:00 pm at The First Bank. The bank is located at 63 Union Street, Rockland.

Labor Day 5K: Monday, September 4th, celebrate labor with a run/walk in Camden. Race begins at 10am. Race will be at the Camden Hills Regional High School in Camden, ME.

Scare Me 5K: Saturday, October 28th, celebrate Halloween at the The Eclipse. Race begins at 10:00am. The Eclipse is located at 2 Park Drive, Rockland.




Event: The Ragged Mountain Scuttle is a family friendly event offering a 5K adventure obstacle race set on the Kuller Trail, as well as a kids obstacle course, music, vendors, food and beer.

Date: Sunday, September 24th from 10am – 2pm

Location: Camden Snow Bowl, 20 Barnestown Road, Camden, Maine. y31jgt4vh49d-1

Course: Test yourself by tackling 20 obstacles along the 5K trail. The majority of the course takes place along the Kuller Trail, which is an intermediate level trail that has some steep pitches and climbs 500 feet. The obstacles on the 5k course range from a 4’ short wall and triple wall to net crawls and weighted pulls. The course begins by the water, goes by the Toboggan ChuteTrail area before coming onto the Kuller Trail. Read about event posted in the Courier Gazette.

Participants: Scuttle participants will tackle the course in groups. Groups are scheduled in 15 minute waves. Participants under the age of 18 years of age need a parent to sign a waiver.

Team Discounts: What better way to conquer the scuttle channel then as a team. Those signing up as a team will receive a discount based on the number of people on the team.

Event:  Kid’s Race, Sprint Triathlon, Olympic Triathlon, Olympic Relay Triathlon

Date:  September 2nd, 9am

Location:  Camden, ME starting at Barrett’s Cove

Midcoast Maine’s only Triathlon this summer!  Come participate in this great local race tradition.  This is a family- friendly event.  We are aiming to put on a great race with chip timing, but will be keeping costs low in order to maximize funds going to our local community.
